Tanzania - Arusha Urban Water Supply ESMP Summary

Arusha city is a major international, diplomatic, touristic and regional hub. Its water and sanitation infrastructure is inadequate and requires urgent improvement. The water access coverage in the city is only about 44% in spite of the fact that AUWSA has the highest water connection density per kilometer of water distribution pipeline, among all the regional utilities in the country.
