Water and sanitation infrastructure investment in Freetown is required to maximise and sustain the benefits of the ongoing interventions, supported by DFID and MCC, including rehabilitation of critical water production and transmission infrastructure and institutional/water utility reforms. Whereas DFID has supported the studies for extensive rehabilitation of the existing water supply infrastructure, their infrastructure financing
