The Environmental Policy of Ethiopia (EPE) was evolved from the Conservation
Strategy of Ethiopia, and it was approved by the council of Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on April 2, 1997. The environment policy seeks to achieve or realize sustainability of ecological process and biological diversity; the provision of benefits from the exploitation of non-renewable resources; identification and development of natural resources.
